Bio: In 2002, David Nail debuted his single "Memphis" from an unreleased album for Mercury Records Nashville. The song peaked at number 52 on the Hot Country Chart which was just the beginning for Nail. With MCA Nashville, in 2009, Nail's first single off of his album I'm About to Come Alive, "Red Light," charted at number 7 on the Hot Country Chart and was certified gold. In 2010 "Turning Home" charted at number 20 on the Hot Country Chart. In 2011 Nail finally had his first number one single with 2011 with "Let It Rain" (featuring Sarah Buxton) and was certified gold! In 2013 Nail had another huge hit on his hands, and personally my favorite, with “Whatever She’s Got” charting number 1 on US Country Airplay, number 2 on the Hot Country Chart, and was certified platinum! Nail released “Kiss You Tonight” in 2014, which is still catching time on the radio, and just last year he released “Nights on Fire” which is the first single of his upcoming fourth studio album called, Fighter. Nail is on tour April 22- October 2, and stopped by Chattanooga for US101's Concert for a Cause raising money for the Special Olympics. Which, of course, I attended! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Concert Review: Last night (April 12th 2016) David Nail came to Chattanooga for an acoustic performance benefiting US101’s concert for a cause. I was really captivated from the time he took the stage until the show ended. I feel like David Nail has one of those old storytelling souls, or at least that’s the vibe I got from him in a more intimate setting. Nail’s voice is one of the best voices you will hear on the radio today, so when you see him sing live you’re just sitting there like “whoa, can this concert last longer?” because he is that good! He actually admitted to being nervous when he first started singing, but you couldn’t tell, he flowed through each song sounding stronger and stronger. He told cool stories from meeting David Cook to his wife and children, and he joked around with his piano saying, “If I mess up this song I’m blaming it on you, because you’re the local boy… just kidding!” In all honesty, if you haven’t seen David Nail in concert, go see him! His voice as I have said, is to die for! One of our local on air radio personalities, Kelly Bradshaw of US101, and I were chatting on social media about how much he made us swoon! Our Snapchats literally looked the same with all of the heart eyed emoji’s and hearts! Best of all, Nail performed “Sound of a Million Dreams” in honor of the late Merle Haggard. The song has a slight mention of one of Merle’s biggest hits, “Mama Tried,” so Nail thought this was the perfect song to pay tribute. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow David Nail on social media: Twitter: @davidnail (most active) Instagram @davidnail (most active) Facebook: David Nail YouTube: David Nail VEVO Website: DavidNail.com Spotify, iHeart and iTunes: David Nail Periscope: David Nail Go see him on tour!
